I was hesitant getting this because there were some negative reviews. I’m now wondering how this item even has bad reviews? User error perhaps? The pointer is so strong it hits the walls in other rooms, even with lights on. It’s nicly made, a good heavy feel, and I charged it as soon as I got it and it’s been well played with for hours and just as strong. It comes in a nice box so it’s great as a gift! And yes… it’s a laser pointer. What else did someone think it is? ??‍♀️ I’ve added a video.

Right out of the box it was working great. The dot is much brighter than with the little pet store cat lasers you can buy with those 3 little LR44 (Energizer A76) batteries. I was an optics Lab Tech a while back and had worked with quality lasers, and wondered how this fine little well constructed laser could sell so cheap, but, well, they didn’t do a lot of work polishing the face of the laser crystal to be perfectly flat, in order to project light perfectly straight in the same direction from its entire surface. So there is some dispersal, that is, the dot gets larger the further it goes out. But it is a laser. Tonight I shined it at a building that was more than about 150 yards away, and I could easily see the dot. Yes, the dot was large enough to see from that far away (even a bright dot that is only an eighth of an inch in diameter will be hard to see at 200 yards), and no ordinary light could have stayed that well collimated. Oh, the cats love it, but the laser is fitted like a pen, and presents well like a thing of quality, and so I take it to my University Classes (studying for a second career) so that when I have a question about something on the board, well, I can ‘point’ without having to get up out of my chair (with age comes privilege, or I should hope). Everyone thinks it is an official Lecture Hall Pointer, and not just the world’s best Cat Laser Toy.

I currently have 5 cats that really enjoy playing with laser pointers. I’ve been going through batteries like crazy and to be honest, haven’t been playing with them as much as I usually do due to not wanting to use up the battery life. Although this laser pointer is a bit more expensive than the 99 cent ones you can buy at the dollar tree, the rechargeable aspect of it saves a lot of money in the long run. The cats love it and it lasts a long time.

I use this device as a laser pointer for slide presentations at scientific meetings. It has a good strong red light. I am color blind. Ordinarily I have difficulty with laser pointers as the spot is too small and too dim. I have no difficulty with this one. The aluminum construction is good quality and it feels good in my hand. There is only one button. It turns on the light and is the perfect size and in the perfect spot on the device. Overall, this is an outstanding laser pointer for slide presentations. The only issue is that the female connector to charge the internal battery according to the seller Laifoo is a mini USB charging port. Chargers with micro USB and USB C connectors are common these days but mini USB is not. I hope that Laifoo changes the charging connector on this otherwise perfect device. I will buy a new one with a USB C connector the moment Laifoo makes it available.

I have cats. I have to keep the cats exercising, because cats who laze around too much and eat too much, get fat. So once I’ve broken a couple of the cheapy “red dots” I decided to invest in something that is rechargeable and a bit bigger, and hopefully more rugged than the little ones. This one is perfect for my house. It is the length of an ink pen, about 3 times as thick. It is big enough that it doesn’t get lost easily, and it recharges on my recharger dock alongside my phone. Besides, all of that, it is easy to handle and the cats love it when we play. This is a super way to get your animal to exercise and enjoy themselves, and this is well worth the price, since no more batteries! Recharge it when you’re done and the next day, you have the Dreaded Red Dot back again!

I got sick of changing batteries on my dogs old laser pointer so I gave this one a try. It holds a charge for a good amount of time, I use it for 2 to 3 hours per day and only charge it every 3 days. The laser has a decent range, it starts to fade out at about 350 to 400 feet which is more than enough for my use.The button is a little sensitive, I have to keep a lot of pressure on it to keep it on. Also the charging port is a little loose but it doesn’t affect the usage.Over all I’d say it’s worth the cost, it’s not a high end laser pointer but it’s great for entertaining pets.
